BEER MENU
Year Round
Granola Girl
5.7% ABV / 22 IBUs
This beer is designed to show off the delicious malt that is golden naked oats. This year we added Malted oats and rolled oats for a total of 33% oats in the grain bill. Oats add a subtle fruity earthiness. The addition of Honey and Biscuit Malt adds a nutty, grainy complexity. Mouthfeel is going to be smooth with a creamy satin like texture from the high protein content of oats. East Kent Goldings hops are showcased in the nose with earthy, floral, light fruit, and herbal notes. Flavor has a mix of light toast, roasted nuts, whole grain, and subtle dried berries.

LIGHT RAIL PALE ALE
5.5% ABV / 45 IBUs
This is a light-bodied, hop-forward pale ale. Copious amounts of Cascade hops late in the brewing process, and another huge dry hop addition in the fermenter will remind craft beer lovers what they love about this style. The intense hop aroma will make you think IPA, but the bitterness is dialed back to showcase the characteristics of this classic hop variety. And at 5.5% ABV, you can enjoy a few of them.

Pravy Pils
5.3% ABV / 24 IBU
The crown jewel of our lager program. Pravy is Czech for “true” or “genuine”. This is a true to the original style pilsner. Czech Pilsners are unique in that the water in Pilzn, Czech Republic is some of the softest (purest) in the world because it comes from glacial melt. This means that the water is nearly devoid of any minerals. This lack of minerals allows for the use of hops without having a bitter harshness. We've replicated that water profile to bring the most authentic version of this beer that is possible outside of Pilzn.

Smokehouse Porter
6.2% ABV / 28 IBUs
Heavier on the caramel malt and lighter on the roast malt. 5% of the base malt is smoked in-house for a smoky complexity. This beer will pair well with most of our menu items. And weighing in at 6.2% ABV it can also be your winter warmer.

Seasonals
Pub Ale (on Nitro)
5.1% ABV / 32 IBUs
This Pub Ale is an Extra Special Bitter (ESB) with a rich, bready, maltiness from floor malted English Maris Otter. We push it on nitrogen gas to mimic the creamy and smoothness of a traditional hand drawn cask.

Jasmine Lager
5.5% ABV / 14 IBUs
A Premium American Lager using a huge amount of Jasmine Rice (50 lbs) in every batch. This totals 10% of the mash bill. This is a light and crispy beer. It's premium due to the absolute best malt being used.

Dictator
9.1% ABV / 32 IBUs
This is probably one of the most unique beers you'll see and exactly why smaller brewpubs are great, we can take these kinds of risks. We start with an Imperial Brown Ale but go rogue by smoking 20% of the malt with cigar tobacco in house. We get premium tobacco leaves, then soak them in rum then put those leave into one of our kitchen smokers with the grain. This cigar smoked malt is added with all the other malts during the brewing process and results in dry tobacco, leather, and cigar flavors. It doesn't add the campfire astringent flavor. Think about how an unlit cigar smells and that's the flavor that comes through. We hold out a small amount from every brew to put into rum barrels, so be on the lookout for Castro's Reserve during the snowy season.

Greenway IPA
7.3% ABV / 75 IBUs
The tribute beer to the Minneapolis bike path, Greenway IPA is back! This is an extremely hop forward beer. Nearly 9 pounds of Centennial hops per barrel are used, including 15 pounds in the last 10 minutes of the brew. If you do not know what Centennials taste like this beer will learn you. Taste and flavor has big notes of pine, citrus, orange, berry, floral, and dank AF. Some people say Centennials taste like Fruity Pebbles. The malt bill is kept simple to let Centennial hops be the star of the show, but still complex enough to add a malty balance. Mouth feel is medium body and has a resin quality to it due to the enormous amount of hops. Cheers!

Pride Red
5.9% ABV / 26 IBUs
Our annual release for Pride Month is an American Red Ale. The beer is medium bodied with the aroma of light biscuit and caramel. Flavor is a mix of toast, toffee, raisin, semi-sweet dark fruits and a touch of herbal with some earth tones. Low hops to let the fancy malts shine.
$7
Maibock
7.5% ABV / 19 IBUs
Maibocks are all about showcasing premium light and bready malts and just enough hop flavor and aroma to balance the malt sweetness. Weyermann’s Barke (Bark-ah) line of German malts is the top-line and some of the richest flavored malt in the world. We used mostly reverse osmosis water. This reduces the sulfate and alkalinity in the water to “soften” bitterness in the beer. The result is a clean, balanced, malty spring lager. Flavor and aroma have notes of fresh baked bread, lightly toasted bread, and caramel.
